SPORTS BAR GOLDEN STAR was founded in 1993 as a very first place of its kind in Czech Republic. The original name "Sport Bar Praha" was after a brake up of its partners and a small removal 150 m (a reconstruction of today's K+K Hotel) changed into SPORTS BAR GOLDEN STAR. The name wasn't just an accidental choice but it features the hotelier and restaurant activities in this very old house. Before the second world war there existed a restaurant of the same name with a big dancing hall in the back of a restaurant. Here, under a fully glazed roof, the famous Sunday Afternoon Tea would take place before the war. After 1948 the whole space was used as a warehouse. Since 1993 a taped beer was being offered again. In 1997 the space was rebuilt into a Pizzeria and a cosy Patio Garden with a capacity of 70 pax was connected. Three years later our restaurant come up with another extention and a wine - vault A.D. Pub, where you can see a 700 years old original stone well, was opened. Alehouse - vault is perhaps the most attractive part of our restaurant and it is something that you simply cannot leave out while dining at our place. Today we provide the widest choice of sports programmes in Czech Republic, which are shown on 6 projection screens and other TV and plazma screens.
